This set appears only in a 1979 Schaper store magazine. Its existence, with its unique box, is not confirmed. It is a version of the 1978 German 3550 Piratenschiff and of the 1980 North American 0104 Super Deluxe Pirate Ship set.

Marx toys produced their own Playmobil under licence in Swansea, UK, between 1976 and February 1980 when the Dunbee Combex Marx group declared bankruptcy and all production stopped

Marx initially manufactured most of the parts themselves, which is why a lot of the parts do not have the playmobil logo on them, but towards the end, as they got into financial difficulty, they included more and more parts from Playmobil. The figure stands and traffic cones in this set, for example, have the Playmobil logos

Hair colours were random

This set the grey tools did come on a sprue
Marx were much tighter with parts and rarely put the parts sprues in the boxes with extra parts on them. For example they didn't put a sprue of 5 revolvers in the box as was usually the case in most playmobil sets
