English Notes
When the figure was first released, he was identified as "England Player Black," to differentiate him from the white "England Player." The same was done for the French players. When critics pointed out that this presumed that the black figure deviated from the "norm," Playmobil changed the designation to "England Player I" for the white figure and "England Player II" for the black figure (and for the French figures as well).
