Playmobil Review: 3940 grosses piratenflaggschiff

this is playmobil 4th pirate ship (after the 3550, the 3750 and the smaller 3860  korsarensegler).

it comes from a „golden age“ of the company.

although it’s a „pirate“ ship it carries a lot of small extras that somehow keep this set a „calm“ one, just like hans beck desired them to be.

if you compare it to the more recent (2011) 5135 piraten beuteschiff (same hull) it has more than 50 extra pieces (versus less than 30) a lot of real string rigging, round cannonballs (versus the unhappy „arrowed“ ones) and no childissh printing on sails.

it is a better ship altogether.

maybe the best.
