My son played with a police car with DIY Ghostbuster stickers applied for a year. Then came Santa with the real Ecto 1 (“the one from the first movie, dad, not the other one”) and it immediately became his favourite.
It is rich in details, whith all those strange tools on the rooftop; not as much as those knick-knack models for collectors, of course, but with this one you can play with your Playmobil, which is priceless.
Some of the smaller stickers applied on bent surfaces tend to come off, but the overall quality is good and the price, if you can get one when on discount sales, reasonable -considering royalties for the trademark-
The original siren sound is exciting and realistic. My son noted only one difference from the original car: the trunk opens in a different way, but who cares, after all?
There is room for 4 figures with backpacks, traps and tools and it fits just right inside the headquarter building.
By the way, this is your only chance to get Janine in Ghosbusters suit outfit, because the one provided with the HQ is dressed like in the second movie, with green skirt and long hair.
Having completed the full Ghostbusters sets, we now have duplicated characters. How come? Easy, son: Egon needed some help and summoned clones of his team from other dimensions using his time portal. Now you can still use your patched police car for the clones and let the Ecto 1 lead the ghost chase in NYC!!
